If you are reading this, it is certain that you are one of the avid fans of EA Skate games and are waiting for the release of EA Skate 4. It is also certain that you have played the three Skate titles that have been released till date, and have enjoyed the experience immensely. The best part about all the EA Skate games is that they have evolved with time, with each subsequent edition of Skate being better than the previous one. The first EA Skate game set the right pace for the series and brought many laurels to EA for making an amazing game. In 6 months, it broke the records that had been set by the reigning skateboarding game of that time, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, and outnumbered it in sales by almost two to one. Skate 2 improved upon the previous game and brought a real life skating experience to the consoles. With Skate 3, things changed completely and a new storyline, different single player and multiplayer modes, and extreme tricks and moves were added to the game. Now, with Skate 4 being rumored to hit the shelves soon, the expectations and demands of gamers have hit the roof and people are waiting for Skate 4 with bated breath.
Expectations from EA Skate 4
Even though Skate 3 was an amazing game and had all the right ingredients for a skateboarding game, there were some flaws that impeded a perfect skateboarding experience in the game. With some problems here and there, Skate 3 did not fully satiate the gamers’ need. For instance, EA Skate 3 offered some brilliant game modes in multiplayer, but there were some major issues and bugs that hampered the entire experience. The single player experience was great, but in some instances the AI of the pedestrians and other skaters was absolutely pathetic. Dropping frame rates was another con that hampered the experience of Skate 3. Naturally, with Skate 4 coming soon, it is obvious that gamers would again expect EA to repeat the magic and take away all the flaws that marred Skate 3. And their regular expectations would include some new tricks in the mix, a new location to explore, some new modes and challenges and all the greatness of EA Skate titles. In essence, the expectations riding on Skate 4 are huge and it remains to be seen how EA would pass this acid test.
Skate 4 Release Date
Various individuals have taken a shot at this and several rumors have sparked debates amongst gamers, but the truth is that there is no official Skate 4 release date yet. There has been no information from EA regarding the Skate 4 release date and it is clear that EA is keeping the game development low profile. They are neither denying nor accepting the existence of the much hyped Skate 4 title, but it seems that official announcement regarding Skate 4 would be coming soon, possibly around Q1, 2012.

all i know is i better see some love park, carlsbad, and hollywood high or im gonna be pissed. they need real spots soooo bad cuz skate 3 is toooo skateable its kinda dumb, which is why id rather just make a realistic park
ricki says
could u also put the old skate parks in likemega compound and GVR stadiium
Damien says
yah that would be cool too. EA should make it possible that we could download all skateparks and Skaters we want. And for me important is a good multiplayer with online Skate Contests … hrrrhrr.. that would be awesome!! We will see what EA do for us skate addicted phreakz 😀
Damien says
haha.. i think a realistic park and spots would be awesome. We will see what EA make for us 😛

I read a lot about it. But I think when it´s the right time they will rlease a new one. And when it´s not a new Skate 4, I hope another new good skate game. Or will you say me it was the last skate game ever we get? 😀
I say time will come when skating is in the mainstream again, and when EA thinks they can make better money with a new skate game they will produce a new one. I´ve read a lot about that EA don´t want to make a new skate 4 because skate 3 had no good sellings. Whatever, I think and hope there is by time a new skate 4. 🙂
cheers

I love how you’re just so sure of yourself that there is no way humanly possible that another skate game will ever be made in the history of forever. . . Can you read my palm too?

as far as i know there is not going to be another no matter how much i want there to be, the game was originally made to be a trilogy and theyve already finished up theyre set “story line” get sponsored, lose sponsorship, start own company, Where else do they have to go? theres not much else they can really do at this point. I think they will start up a new skateboarding game thats a little broader so that they can have room for expansion ya know? like so they can keep them going if theyre still making money and not run out of ideas.

Hi Matt,
aggree with you. Thanks4Comment!!

EA Blackbox closed in Vancouver. EA also said skate was a trilogy. There is no news about a fourth skate game because there is no new skate game planned for this console. They haven’t even confirmed that we would see one in the next generation of consoles. Keep hope alive if you want, but it is pretty irresponsible to report fake rumors and even hint at possible release dates for a game that isn’t even in development.
Damien says
Will you surely say that skate 3 was now the last skate game EA ever released? Time is bad for skate games because it´s not in the mainstream, so not much dudes will buy it. EA is a big Companyy who wants to make $ when a skate game brings no Money in, there will be no Skate game. BUT it´can´t be true that Skate 3 was the last skate game forever!?! Time will come and EA or another company will develop a new one. When´s not named skate 4 it has another name. But we will stay here to talk and dream about a new skate game 😉

Dream, brother…I don’t blame you. The skate series is fun…but skate 3 was the last in this generation of consoles from all leaked reports…which you can take how you want. My guess is they might do another in the next gen or maybe they will see how Tony Hawk HD sells…but since they shut down the studio that made the games, it doesn’t look good for skate 4.
